Face Washing, Showering, and Makeup
Hair washing and showering are possible from the day after surgery, but you must be careful not to get water on the wound. Please be cautious as straining the eyes can cause accumulated blood to come out. Eye makeup and contact lens wear are possible after 4 weeks. To prevent the double eyelid from loosening or changing shape, avoid eye makeup for one month, and contact lens wear is possible after one month as the lenses can irritate the conjunctiva.

Progress
Conjunctival swelling or redness may occur after surgery. Conjunctival swelling (a symptom where the conjunctiva appears white and puffy) or redness may occur after surgery. These symptoms naturally subside over 2-4 weeks and are common symptoms that can occur after surgery, so there is no need to worry. Additionally, temporarily increased tearing and eye discharge can also occur as a normal post-operative reaction and will improve over time.

Swelling Management
Swelling decreases over 3-6 months after surgery. It is common for swelling to be asymmetrical, with each side swelling differently or reducing at different rates. Until the swelling completely subsides, the asymmetrical swelling appearance will improve over time. Apply warm and cold compresses at appropriate times after surgery. Cold compress is recommended for up to 3 days after surgery when facial swelling occurs. Cold compress has the effect of preventing bleeding and reducing swelling. From 4 days after surgery onwards, warm compress is recommended for effective swelling and bruising management.

Wound Care
Manage with eye ointment and eye drops.Apply the eye ointment thinly to the surgical area using a clean cotton swab in the morning and evening. If you have been prescribed eye drops, please instill them into the conjunctiva 2-3 times per day. Milia may develop along the incision line after surgery. Small, white milia the size of a grain of millet may appear along the incision line after surgery, but they will naturally disappear over time. However, if they do not disappear even after 3 months, simple removal is possible after a visit depending on the condition.

Alcohol and Smoking
Avoid alcohol and smoking for 1 month after surgery.Alcohol and smoking can have adverse effects on bleeding, wound healing, and infection, so it is recommended to refrain from them for 1 month after surgery.

Sleeping Position
Check your sleeping position for 3 months after surgery.Until 1 week after surgery, make sure your neck is not bent while sleeping, and it is helpful for swelling to subside quickly if you keep your upper body elevated with your head higher than your heart. Also, do not sleep on your side or face down, but sleep with your face toward the ceiling.
