Facial Fat Grafting
At Nana Plastic Surgery, our goal is not only to create beautiful, natural-looking contours, but also to maximize fat retention for long-lasting results. During fat grafting, we carefully place the harvested fat in small, precise amounts to promote optimal fat integration.
To further support fat retention and enhance skin quality, we combine fat grafting with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment as part of our comprehensive approach.

Why
fat grafting is special at NANA Plastic Surgery
- 01.
NANA PRP fat graftingFor maximum graft survival, blood vessels must grow into the cells after grafting.
- 02.
Optimal fat separation expertiseEven when the same amount of fat is harvested, the purity and retention of the grafted fat can vary depending on how it is processed and separated.
At Nana Plastic Surgery, we determine the optimal centrifugation speed (RPM) and processing time for fat separation, helping to preserve high-quality fat for a more favorable grafting outcome. - 03.
Fat storage centerAt Nana Plastic Surgery, we operate a fully sterilized fat storage facility equipped with specialized freezers for low-temperature preservation.
Harvested fat is carefully stored under controlled, ultra-low-temperature conditions, allowing it to be safely preserved for a potential secondary fat grafting procedure when needed. - 04.
Fat extraction expertiseAt Nana Plastic Surgery, our experienced liposuction specialists use refined techniques designed to minimize tissue trauma during fat harvesting. By carefully extracting fat while minimizing damage to the surrounding tissues, we aim to reduce bruising and swelling at the donor site and support a faster recovery after surgery.

NANA Plastic Surgery's PRP fat grafting is recommended for!
We correct a flat-looking facial line to create a lively, voluminous impression.
Fat grafting treatment areas at NANA Plastic Surgery

Forehead
When the forehead slopes backward or the bone itself is uneven, you can look older and your impression can look harsh. Fat grafting can create a softly rounded, natural forehead line.
Nasolabial folds
Improving the nasolabial folds that run from the nostrils to the corners of the mouth makes expressions more natural and gives a more elegant look.

Sunken eyelids
Some individuals may naturally have insufficient fat beneath the brow bone, while others may experience volume loss in this area due to aging or other acquired factors. This lack of volume can create a more tired or harsh appearance and make fine lines around the eyes more noticeable.
Eyelid fat grafting can help restore lost volume, creating a softer, more youthful-looking eye area and smoother, more supple eyelid contours with reduced visibility of fine lines.Breasts
For those with a fundamentally slim build, fat grafting to the breasts has its limits. However, for those with moderate volume, there is almost no chance of capsular contracture, and the feel and shape are natural, so more satisfying results can be achieved.

Cheeks (side and front)
A lack of volume in the cheeks can make the face appear less vibrant, while accentuating the underlying bone structure and creating a more defined or harsh appearance. Cheek fat grafting can help restore lost volume for a softer, healthier, and more youthful-looking facial contour.
The cheeks are also considered an area where grafted fat can integrate well. By restoring volume to this area, fat grafting can help create a natural-looking result that may be maintained over time.Hip-up
As body contouring and a confident, defined silhouette continue to gain attention, interest in enhancing the buttocks has also increased. Buttock fat grafting can help create a fuller, more lifted appearance while improving overall body proportions and creating the visual effect of longer, more streamlined legs

NANA's guide to
precautions after fat grafting surgery
01
Washing, showering & makeup
For 1 week after surgery, take care not to let water directly touch the surgical sites.Keep both the fat extraction site and the grafted site away from water for 1 week; wash your face lightly with lukewarm water without irritating the surgical sites. Makeup is possible once all stitches have been removed.
Strong warm/cold compresses on the surgical site are not recommended.Grafted fat cells survive only when blood vessels grow into them. Excessive compresses can interfere with fat cell survival, so please follow only the method advised by your surgeon.
02
Recovery & graft survival care
Swelling is most severe for 1–2 weeks after surgery; residual swelling subsides over 3–6 months, and the final result takes shape. With fat grafting, some absorption naturally occurs as the swelling subsides. The final survival rate is about 50–70%, and varies depending on the individual's constitution and care.
Do not press or massage the surgical site.During the first month, while the grafted fat cells settle, applying pressure or massaging the surgical site firmly can lower the survival rate. Also avoid sleeping face down or resting your head on the grafted area.
03
Diet & weight management
Avoid crash dieting or rapid weight loss for 3 months after surgery.Grafted fat cells are affected by weight changes just like your own fat tissue. Rapid weight loss can reduce the volume of the surviving fat cells, so please maintain a stable weight.
A balanced diet and adequate hydration support recovery.A diet rich in protein and vitamins has a positive effect on tissue recovery and fat cell survival. Spicy foods and excessive salt can worsen swelling, so please limit them.
04
Exercise & daily activities
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 2 weeks after surgery.Activities that rapidly increase blood circulation can cause swelling and bleeding. Light walks are possible from the day after surgery, but resume vigorous exercise slowly from 3–4 weeks after surgery.
05
Alcohol & smoking
Please refrain from drinking alcohol and smoking for 1 month after surgery.Alcohol and smoking constrict blood vessels, obstruct blood flow to the grafted fat cells, and significantly lower the survival rate. They also adversely affect wound healing and infection, so we recommend avoiding them for 1 month after surgery.
06
Abnormal symptoms & clinic visits
Visit the clinic on day 7 after surgery for a progress check.Visit the clinic according to the set schedule so your surgeon can check the degree of swelling, graft survival, and wound healing. Scheduled aftercare programs (Healite at week 2, RF treatment at week 4, etc.) are carried out at the same time.
If you experience abnormal symptoms such as severe pain, fever, or asymmetrical swelling, visit the clinic immediately. If you notice anything different from the normal course of recovery (localized fever, tenderness, redness, pus, etc.), there may be an infection or hematoma, so do not self-diagnose — contact the clinic immediately.
