What is Capsular Contracture?

POINT 01
All implants inserted into the body, including breast implants, are surrounded by a capsule (CAPSULE) made of collagen. In most cases, this capsule tissue is thin and elastic, not interfering with the soft feel of the implant, but in some cases, a thick and firm capsule may form. This condition is defined as 'capsular contracture'.
