From breast checks to implant checks,
screening before and after breast surgery
Healthy, beautiful breast surgery starts with a breast screening.
A breast screening before breast surgery is an essential step. Breast tumors are often discovered during pre-op tests,
and if a tumor is present, removing it before surgery is safer and leads to better results.

Detailed breast disease and implant-specific screening

Screening with breast ultrasound
An ultrasound before breast surgery reveals the structure and condition of the breasts, which helps with implant selection,
and after surgery it is used to check for implant abnormalities and complications such as capsular contracture or rupture.
When is a mammogram needed?
If you are in your 40s or older and have not had a breast exam in the past year, a mammogram before surgery is recommended.
It is advised for the early detection of breast disease.
Minimally invasive excision possible even with implants
Even when implants are in place, tissue can be removed safely by considering their position and the distance to the skin and muscle.
With VAB (vacuum-assisted biopsy), lesions such as fibroadenomas can be removed through a minimal incision.
