NANA Plastic Surgery announced that it has been officially designated as an Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institution by Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare. Under the Act on the Safety of and Support for Advanced Regenerative Medicine and Advanced Biological Products, an Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institution is a medical institution that meets government requirements for facilities, equipment, specialized personnel, standard operating procedures, and safety management systems in accordance with the 「Advanced Regenerative Medicine and Advanced Biopharmaceutical Safety and Support Act」. Through this designation, the clinic establishes a foundation to conduct research and clinical operations in the regenerative medicine field more systematically.

The medical institution has built relevant facilities, personnel, and management systems for conducting regenerative medicine research and procedures utilizing locally-derived stem cells and blood-based stem cells. The clinic's designation reflects an evaluation of this infrastructure and operational system.

Recently, the medical community has shown increasing interest in therapeutic approaches that go beyond cosmetic plastic surgery to consider tissue recovery and regeneration. In particular, stem cell-based regenerative medicine is being discussed for its potential in tissue recovery, skin regeneration, and anti-aging fields, with related research ongoing.

Following the designation, the clinic plans to further develop its regenerative medicine–based care system across a range of areas, including tissue recovery after revision rhinoplasty, recovery care after breast surgery that accounts for the condition of the surrounding tissue, incision-site recovery after lifting procedures, and skin recovery and anti-aging.

The industry views advanced regenerative medicine as developing in a direction that considers recovery processes and tissue regeneration following treatment, and as related systems and safety management frameworks are strengthened, the role of specialized medical institutions is becoming increasingly important.

Dr. Hwang Dong Yeon, director of Nana Plastic Surgery Clinic, stated, "The designation as an Advanced Regenerative Medicine Implementation Institution is significant in that it recognizes our foundation for conducting stem cell-based regenerative medicine research and operations more safely and systematically. We will continue to strengthen our systems to provide medical services that combine cosmetic plastic surgery with regenerative medicine, always prioritizing patient safety."

Meanwhile, the medical institution is expanding its capabilities in regenerative medicine research and clinical application alongside plastic surgery treatment, pursuing advancement in patient-centered medical services.
