Dr. Dong-yeon Hwang of NANA Plastic Surgery was invited as the main speaker at the 'Taiwan Xtra™ MH Launch Symposium' held in Taiwan on the 26th.

The event was hosted in Taiwan by MENTOR®, the breast implant brand of the global company Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Hwang and Dr. Khashayar Mohebali of Marin General Hospital in the United States took part as speakers. Held in a hybrid online-offline format, the symposium brought together more than 100 plastic surgeons from Taiwan.

Drawing on the extensive clinical data he has accumulated over the years, Dr. Hwang presented breast augmentation statistics using MENTOR® MemoryGel® Xtra™ and shared his innovative breast augmentation techniques with Taiwanese specialists, attracting significant attention.

In particular, he shared NANA Plastic Surgery's 0.2% capsular contracture rate along with the capsular contracture results of the GLOW study presented at PSTM 2023, opening new horizons for the breast augmentation field in Taiwan.

"Through this symposium, I was able to share the know-how and insights I have accumulated in breast augmentation," Dr. Hwang said. "I will continue to actively pursue research while exchanging Korea's high-level medical technology on the international stage."
