Merz Aesthetics Korea (CEO Su-yeon Yoo) announced on the 30th that it resumed Season 2 of the 'AURA Seminar,' a professional education program for the ultrasound lifting device Ultherapy (a focused ultrasound stimulation system medical device), on the 25th at Andaz Seoul Gangnam.

The AURA Seminar is a professional academic education program established by Merz to share the latest global aesthetic insights and academic information with medical professionals and to exchange clinical experience. Season 1, which began last year, concluded successfully with more than 250 medical professionals participating over a total of ten sessions.

According to Merz, Season 2 of the AURA Seminar, resumed this month, plans to encourage active expert discussion aimed at enhancing treatment satisfaction for both medical staff and patients, based on the sharing of broader medical-science-based clinical data on lifting.

Dr. Ji-eun Kim of NANA Plastic Surgery, who presented on the topic of 'Advanced Ultherapy Clinical Practice,' shared know-how for improving treatment satisfaction in clinical settings and performing the procedure more safely and accurately.

Dr. Kim said, "For a safe procedure, a treatment plan must be established that considers anatomical aspects by examining the skin layers before treatment. The key is to vary the approach according to the patient's age, gender, skin type, and body mass index. Satisfaction tends to be high when a meticulous treatment plan is in place in line with Ultherapy's Gold Standard treatment guidelines."

She added, "Because skin depth differs not only from person to person but also across different areas of the same individual, delivering ultrasound energy evenly down to the SMAS layer requires looking beneath the skin with Ultherapy's ultrasound imaging and a delicate treatment plan using a variety of tips (transducers, TD). Satisfaction tends to be high when the procedure is performed with a sufficient number of shots—at least 600 lines."

Su-yeon Yoo, CEO of Merz Aesthetics Korea, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Korean medical professionals whose strong support has allowed the Ultherapy AURA Seminar to continue into Season 2. We will continue to provide unstinting support so that active academic exchange among experts can take place in Season 2 as well, and lay the foundation for a safer and more satisfying clinical environment for ultrasound lifting."
