What is XERF?
XERF is equipped with two monopolar radiofrequencies (RF), 6.78 MHz (megahertz) and 2 MHz, and their combination allows three depth settings (Shallow–Middle–Deep). This enables thermal energy to be delivered selectively from the shallow to the deep layers of the skin, and with 10 adjustable energy levels, the treatment can be finely customized to your skin type and treatment area.

EFFECTOR surface temperature monitoring & ICD cooling systemWith every shot, the surface temperature is clearly shown on the device GUI and handpiece display, and if it exceeds 43℃, the RF output is cut off to prevent overheating. In addition, three-level cooling matched to treatment intensity prevents excessive skin temperature rise and makes the treatment more comfortable.

Stable ICD cooling system, collagen remodelingHeat stimulation of the dermis activates collagen production and remodeling, so changes in elasticity begin right after treatment. Collagen regeneration becomes active over about 2–4 weeks, making it a lifting treatment where improved firmness is easy to notice. It is used as natural, comfortable elasticity care for various concerns such as loss of firmness, fine lines, and skin texture.

XERF Q&A
- The interval and number of sessions may vary depending on your skin condition and treatment area, so a consultation is needed for details. However, when treated with a sufficient number of shots, one session per year is generally recommended.
- XERF has a built-in cooling system that lowers the risk of burns, so pain is significantly reduced. However, pain perception varies from person to person, so NANA uses various pain-relief techniques and also offers sedation to ease any discomfort.
- Thermage uses a 6.78 MHz wavelength, while XERF uses two wavelengths, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, allowing energy to be delivered to a wider range of depths. Also, because the XERF tip is larger than the Thermage tip, more energy can be delivered with the same number of shots.
